A simple but princess dress

Caroline Kennedy’s wedding dress represented the glamour and luxury that every member of a royal family has.

23 years after the assassination of her father, John F. Kennedy, she said ‘yes’ to designer, artist and author Edwin A. Schossberg in 1986. The couple’s wedding was a surprise to the public media, not really announced in advance to be part of the big show of celebrity weddings.

Caroline Kennedy Wedding
Caroline Kennedy’s wedding dress from the design house of Carolina Herrera demonstrated simplicity, style and elegance. Although she is not royalty, her choice and taste represented the height of elegance. Her off-the-shoulder, short-sleeved design was the base of everything, the perfect complement was the embroidered flower design on the bodice down to her hips, from there, a skirt with a princess cut.
Their wedding was attended by the bride and groom’s closest family and friends, including his brother John F. Kennedy Jr. who married Carolyn Bessette in 1996, three years before his death. The couple died in a plane crash on July 16, 1999.
The wedding dress of Caroline Kennedy, daughter of John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, shone after a few years of the wedding, since the main factor of her union with the designer was the privacy of the event. She had the opportunity to shine for the guests as she walked down the aisle accompanied by her uncle Ted Kennedy.

After what happened to her father when he was a public figure, it is understandable that the family would make decisions to keep them away from scandals and other activities that require media attention and presence.

The events that marked a nation made the Kennedy family’s media attention more present in any activity that involves or will draw the attention of the paparazzi.

Attention is not something that is enjoyed after living moments that left an eternal mark in the personal life and history of a country.
